Quick answer
This tool takes two photos and produces one couple portrait. The prompt names which photo is which person and forbids swapping faces or adding a third person.
Each still costs one credit. The model is GPT Image 2.5 through kie.ai, and the output is watermark-free.
Use one clear, front-facing photo per person, taken in similar light. Similar framing makes the final composition much easier to balance.
Photos are moderated and only used for this render.
Keep the identity and “avoid” lines. They are what stop the model from inventing a new face.

What it looks like

The hard part is not the costume
Single-person edits fail gracefully: the face drifts a little and you regenerate. Couple edits fail loudly: the model swaps the two faces, merges them, or adds a third person. That is why the prompt has to spend its first sentences on identity allocation, not on costumes.
The recipe used here says “photo one is the cowboy, photo two is the angel”, asks for both faces to be preserved, and ends with “keep exactly two people”. Those are the lines that keep the image usable.
Coordinated looks that work in one frame
The strongest couple costumes have a shared silhouette and a clear contrast. Cowboy and angel works because one is dark and structured, the other light and soft. Vampire and victim works for the same reason. Matching outfits with no contrast tend to read as two people in the same suit.
- Cowboy & Angel — warm barn doorway, hay bales, string lights.
- Vampire pair — black velvet capes, red lining, foggy stone archway.
- Disco Scooby & Shaggy — a retro colour clash that reads at thumbnail size.
- Cyclops & Jean Grey — a comic-book look with a strong colour split.
How to take the two photos
Take both photos at roughly the same distance, with the same kind of light, facing the camera. If one person is backlit and the other is in flat indoor light, the model has to reconcile two different worlds, and the result looks pasted together.
Do not use a photo where one person’s face is partly hidden by the other. Do not use a mirror selfie with a phone covering the face. If you only have a group photo, crop each person out before uploading.
From portrait to a shared clip
A couple portrait can become a short video, but keep the motion small: both people turn their heads slightly, the string lights flicker, fog drifts. Avoid dancing or walking toward the camera; two bodies in motion are much harder to keep coherent than one.
The still costs one credit; a 12-second 480p clip costs 15. If you only need a card or an invite, the still is the whole job.
How it works
- 1
Upload two photos
One per person, same distance and similar light. Crop out anyone else.
- 2
Pick a coordinated look
Choose a pair with contrast: dark and light, structured and soft.
- 3
Download the portrait
One credit per still. Regenerate if a face drifts; do not accept a swap.
Questions
Can the tool swap our faces by mistake?
It can, which is why the prompt names photo one and photo two explicitly and forbids swapping. If a result is swapped, regenerate rather than editing around it.
Do both people need to be in the same photo?
No. Two separate photos are the intended input. Similar framing and light make the combined portrait more believable.
Can we add a child or a pet to the portrait?
Not in the same two-photo job. Generate the couple first, then use a separate edit for a third subject, or use the pet tool for the animal.
How much does a couple portrait cost?
One credit per still. A $9.90 pack contains 15 credits, so 15 attempts or 14 attempts plus a video.
Is the result suitable for a party invitation?
Yes. Choose 16:9 for a wide card or 9:16 for a story invite. The image is watermark-free.
